About Our Catholic Faith
Our world is a mosaic of faiths, sometimes our knowledge of other people's religious practices are veiled in mystery or rumor.
Whether you’re a non Catholic, a non practicing Catholic or you’ve just never been to a Catholic wedding, we would like you to feel welcomed and comfortable.
Our Catholic faith section offers a light overview of what to expect while attending a Catholic wedding ceremony. It is our intention to merely familiarize those who are unfamiliar with the Catholic faith or to refresh the general knowledge of those who are.
1) AN INTRODUCTION TO THE ROMAN CATHOLIC FAITH Our world is a mosaic of different faiths. Today, many Catholic weddings involve interfaith marriages and most weddings among Catholic couples will have invited guests that are both Christian and non-Christian. With this in mind we have posted general information on elements of the Catholic Faith.
2) OUTLINE OF THE ROMAN CATHOLIC MASS When attending a Catholic wedding ceremony, it will be administered either During Mass or Outside of Mass, although elements of the Mass will always be present.
3) CATHOLIC CHURCH ETIQUETTE We offer explanations of the fundamental gestures used in our worship practices. It is our desire that this overview will enhance your confidence when attending any Catholic Mass or Catholic wedding ceremony.
4) RECEIVING THE SACRAMENT OF RECONCILIATION (CONFESSION) "To those who have been far away from the sacrament of Reconciliation and forgiving love I make this appeal: come back to this source of grace; do not be afraid! Christ himself is waiting for you. He will heal you, and you will be at peace with God!", Pope John Paul II
